David Coleman obtained a qualification from the Royal Horticultural Society and studied at Glasgow Botanical Gardens before progressing to a Diploma Course with the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew. As an ex Kew student and Kew Guild Member he is a proud member of a small select group known as Old Kewites.

David Coleman works with a group of Professional Associates to offer garden services to cater for all tastes and at all levels. The team share common ideals of a garden being an extension of the home and a place that the whole family should be able to share and enjoy. Family-safe and Friendly is their motto and their gardens always attract a WOW factor on completion.

The Associates are professionals who have studied together, grown up together and worked together on many projects. The Professional Horticultural world is small, and amongst the ranks are some very talented people with a wealth of expertise. They have no fear and will take on a wide variety of challenges, whether they are of small, minimal design, low maintenance, gardens for elderly or disabled, city based, urban or large country gardens.

From container planting to water features or helicopter pads, it’s all in a day’s work and pleasure. Lawns and sports facilities are one of their specialities and David’s particular passion. David has created football pitches, children’s play areas, bowling greens, tennis courts, outdoor chess boards and golf greens, tees and bunkers. If you are lucky enough to be the proud owner of a dilapidated tennis court we can re-vamp that very nicely into a variety of things! A tennis court is a perfect 5 a side football area or multi-court for netball, basketball, volleyball, converts to a safe play space for bouncy castles or trampolines, or maybe you fancy an open-sided covered area for adults for BBQ’s. Whatever you desire!

The team have a full appreciation of the commercial markets and possess the ability to act swiftly when requested to revamp a garden to progress a house sale. In such cases it can provide the difference between attracting a sale or not. Smart gardens increase the value of a house too.

Some of the Associates are also artists, and garden features and sculptures bring wider scope for garden design. If you have something in mind contact David, he may well be able to source it for you.

David’s professional career saw him specialise in Turf and Sports facilities. For 15 years he ran his own company working with Sports Clubs, Local Authorities, Colleges, Universities, HM Forces and Commercial House Builders with contracts from less than a thousand pounds to over a hundred thousand.

David became a Member of the Institute of Leisure and Amenity Management, later to become the Institute of Sports Parks and Leisure, now having merged with the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management based at Loughborough University to reach final Chartered status and be finally known as The Institute for Management of Sport and Physical Activity, MIMSPA.

David is also a keen athlete (football and running) with an interest in nutrition, both on a personal and a business level.
